The toxic work environment
Struggling to sleep at night. Spending your days on edge. Your days off you cannot wind down and relax. Going to work fills you with dread. Every time your phone rings you wonder if its that poisioning colleague that makes you life hell.
How often do we hear this? People who have jobs that actually make them sick. Where will their motivation be? Will they stay in the company? Who knows - the only definate is they will never be working to their optimum, plus, we are nice people and don't want to make others unhappy, do we?!
It al starts with leadership. Any leader/manager should never let this state of mind, culture if you will, infiltrate the organisation. Often it can be the leader/manager themselves that create such a toxic environment to work in.
